What is HEMA?

Hydroxyethyl methacrylate (HEMA) is a very small size of molecule, which often appears as one of the ingredients in cosmetic products.

HEMA makes the product cure UV/LED light and helps to improve adhesion and viscosity of the gel polish. In the same time HEMA may cause allergic or inflammatory reactions to people with Sensitive Nails.

Applying Mora Hema Free Gel on your nails typically follows these steps:

  1. Prepare Your Nails: Start by ensuring your nails are clean and dry. Remove any old nail polish and trim your nails to your desired length.
  2. Buff and Shape: Use a nail buffer to gently buff the surface of your nails. This helps to remove any ridges and create a smooth base for the gel application. Shape your nails using a nail file to achieve the desired shape.
  3. Push Back Cuticles: Use a cuticle pusher or an orangewood stick to gently push back your cuticles. This helps to create a clean and neat nail bed for the gel application.
  4. Apply Base Coat: Apply a thin layer of Mora Hema Free Gel base coat to each nail. Be sure to cap the free edge of your nails by running the brush along the tip. This helps to seal the gel and prevent chipping.
  5. Cure Under UV/LED Lamp: Cure the base coat under a UV or LED lamp according to the manufacturer’s instructions. This usually takes about 30-60 seconds depending on the lamp’s power.
  6. Apply Gel Color: Apply a thin layer of Mora Hema Free Gel color polish to each nail, making sure to coat the entire nail surface evenly. Avoid getting any polish on your skin or cuticles.
  7. Cure Under Lamp: Cure the color polish under the UV or LED lamp for the recommended time. Typically, UV Light – 2 Minutes and  LED – 30 – 60 seconds per coat, depending on the intensity of the lamp.
  8. Apply Additional Coats (Optional): Depending on the opacity of the color and your desired finish, you may need to apply additional coats of color polish. Cure each coat under the lamp before applying the next layer.
  9. Apply Top Coat: Once you’re satisfied with the color, apply a thin layer of Mora Hema Free Gel top coat to seal and protect the color. Again, be sure to cap the free edge of your nails.
  10. Final Cure: Cure the top coat under the UV or LED lamp for the recommended time.
  11. Remove Sticky Layer (Optional): Some gel polishes have a sticky residue layer after curing. If your Mora Hema Free Gel has this, use a lint-free nail wipe soaked in rubbing alcohol to gently remove the sticky layer from each nail.
  12. Moisturize: Finally, apply a cuticle oil or hand cream to moisturize your nails and surrounding skin.

Following these steps should help you achieve a beautiful and long-lasting gel manicure using Mora Hema Free Gel.
